Annette Miller is the owner of Unity in the Community, which works with refugees and provides English courses and citizen prep classes in West Jordan, Utah. The Give Initiative works closely with Ville Property Management to provide affordable housing, and when Ville Property Manager Joann Reyes connected with Annette during an outreach evening, they knew they had to work together. Annette was amazed by the mission of Ville Property Management and The Give Initiative to help individuals who have experienced homelessness or are at risk of experiencing homelessness. Annette decided to do a donation drive for small household items, blankets, sheets, clothing etc. All the items received will be utilized by those who live at Ville Property Management's long-term housing program in Magna and Salt Lake City. Through an MOU we hope to continue donation support that will target all of our Salt Lake properties. Thanks to this donation drive, we had 15 singles and families who were able to receive items for their homes! Thank you so much to everyone who participated and volunteered, and a special thanks to Annette for organizing the event!
